ello peeps! 2dae ..supervisor told me to pick up as fast as possible for Corporate bonds..yeah...2dae whole day...been learning to do alot.. hoepfully i'll be able to pick up fast . . .quite stress la the workload..normally the workload will increase ard 3+pm...den 615 like tt i muz prepare a report & such...den muz go send doc to another building in the morning....2dae colleagues brought me to Peninsular plaza to eat...dey wanna dine indian food...den we went into "ganzes" i dnoe izzit like tt spell..but sth like tt....yup..we had the buffet lor... 1st time eat so much indian food @ 1 shot..not bad yar...colleagues were nice to me...brought me ard the vicinity for lunch...ydae...dey brought me to golden mile complex...or golden shoe? haha...no idea....yup..2dae colleague treated me to lunch...next time b4 i leave the co. my turn to treat dem...
yup...oh ya..toking bout food..2dae's menu for dinner was pizzas ..chicken wings..see wad u choose la...lol..left @ 1845...meeting the peeps for dinner...whose the peeps??? actually im not sure who will be coming... until i reached den i noe..lol...jiawen,em,joyce,hui ying & me ...met @ BK...den chatted quite abit as we ate la...den told dem some cold jokes...den em kana tricked by me..lol...reali hopes she dun mind la...although she says she dun mind..but i scared she minds..haha...yeah..all of us left for home ard 9pm ....woah..its 2200 alreadi! i tink im goin off real soon...tmr's working again...cant wait for weekends to come..whahahhaa....
although work is stressful. . . but thanks to YEP! i got 2 weeks lesser for work..haha...now coming 2wards the end of Apr lieo... so..left ard 4 mths like tt la...v fast over de la..everyday..when ur BZ..time will fly like a rocket...but abit sian lor...reached home late & tired le...bathe le...slack & sleep...den next morning work again...i realli hope to earn enuff $$,so tt i can do something i like for the rest of my life..instead of working aimlessly to support myself & family .. . hope can go backpacking in the near future..hehe...but muz complete poly 1st la...doing sth u like rather den juz doing it is diffentiated by a thin line .. .but dat's a diff kindof feeling yar....
gonna scrap thru these 4 months & learn as much as possible la.. gd working experience..but realli stressful.... being in Cambodia & doing "contruction work" is less stressful but requires more physical work...working in office sucked ur mental strength sia...orite la...i'll stopped whining bout work for now...goin to bed le...10 more hrs...&i wud b in the office lieo...haha..okok..stopped here....

ello ppl! im back...the trip to Cambodia is realli enriching & nice ...the peeps i met thruout the trip were realli fun-loving ... the team work is there ... there were 23 of us students & 2 teachers...alrite..here it goes....
Brief description of the place & such ...
- no much of concrete grounds,juz sand & more sand along the streets
- each canned drinks cost bout 1500 riels , USD1 = 4000 riels
- once in awhile,there r "sandstorms" & u have difficulty opening ur eyes
- while bathing,the water supply may cut off anytime
- the animals here r all fit & sturdy... Chicken that we had for meals r more or less with bones & muscles..not much of any meat....buffalos here r v thin..can see their skeleton...the gecko is realli BIG..so scary..& in the nite....dey will produce tis "vulgar crying" haha...
- u have to soak ur utensils in hot water b4 eating to kill germs.
- many beggars along the street
- many mosquitoes,crickets,praying mantis,bed bugs,stray dogs ( dey r v tamed),u can hardly see any cats here thou...
- the people here gets up v early in the morning ...v v hardworking...yet dey earn v little...a contruction worker earns USD1 for a day of hard labour..which is equivalent to $1.65 ....
- most of the ppl along the street sells "hard head" bread for a living ...
- dey dun have much varities of canned drinks here...u have coke,Fanta,Sprite,winter melon,red bull,grass jelly & so on....
5th April
hello.Im writing my journal here after my bath.It took me bout 10 mins to bathe since the h20 from the shower was reali slow.The h20 tastes salty too.Was told that we muz not drink the h20 from the tap.
Yup,2dae went out at ard 1115.Reached the airport with mum ard 1210 & we ate in BK.Bee called & told me she was @ T1, when i was @ T2. It was ard 1240 and she was to have her KTV session @ 1400 @ Srgn ... lol..she came for 5 mins & left..
10 mins later, Peng,Xue & Mui came. Mum went to T1 to get me a bigger bag to put all my belongings.juz got back from our meeting.shud be 2345 now. Anyway, Em,Joyce & Huiying came to see me off too. Realli thank all the ppl who came to see me off.on the place,had fish & potatoes+ few long beans for lunch. The flight took 1 hr+ and we reached Phnom Penh. We took a bus to a thai restaurant & had our dinner. Along the journey, i've looked and saw that the shops they have here looked like what we have in the 1960s or so. The traffic here is realli chaotic.There is no proper road order..u can hardly see any traffic lights..& yes..dey do not have street lights too...so it was pretty dark... Had rice,mushroom(tomyam taste),mango rice,curry & popiah for dinner. Now im at the place we r lodging. There r alot of insects here..Flying ard the place.Felt v gross bout it,but im getting used to it le...alrite..shall end here...
6th April
the sleep last nite was not so good.. im missing my bed... sleeping on the hard floor is backbreaking..plus i did not bring any pillows there...All of us placed the straw mat & den sleep on our sleeping bags...Many insects were flying ard when i slept..u can feel dem flying past u ..with the buzzing sound...in the morning...u will get morning calls from the sound of nature...with dogs barking...Buffalo ...crickets...Gecko....we went out for breakfast..& the traffic here is unlike S'pore..where everyting is so organized... they dun hav traffic here... no 2 ways lane or anyting... dey juz go whichever way they want... we were all having difficulties crossing the road ... haha..quite challenging thou...guessed the locals had fun seeing us panicked as we crossed the road.
alrite...every morning..we'll have 3 choices for breakfast....
2 "sharp head" bread + fried eggs ... pork with noodles.. & Chicken WITH rice ... (its not chicken rice im talking bout yar...) the first day was like... oh..good food...but as each day passes by... u'll get real sick of the food....& some of us had chicken rice for the 1st few days for breakfast but after knowing that u'll be having Chicken with Rice for every lunch.... u'll never touch Chicken with Rice for breakfast anymore...
8th April
We celebrated New Year over there. Had dinner in the open area.Meal consisted of many "unique" food ive never seen in my life..anyway..there wasnt much of any lightings...so u juz take the food & popped dem into ur mouth...had Anchor beer,mineral h20 & sprite as our drinks....yup..played "guessing game" with Char .... as usual,loser had to drink the beer ..hee..pretty fun... & sprite mixed with Anchor beer tastes like Jolly Shandy...real nice...there were many left-over @ our table... We gave dem to the street kids who came into the hospital vicinity.... the drinks tt we left on the grass were kana taken away by dem ... yup..& a gal bout 7-8 yrs old ...wanted to take away the plate with the food on it ... but we only allowed her to take the food...she juz found a unused plastic on the grass to clear the food off the plate ... the street kids were so happy to have some food & drinks given to dem ... .
10 April
Worked for 1/2 day & went for a walk by the lake and ard the vicinity with Ed,Kailin,Char & Jeremy. We walked the market too. all the meat dey r selling r infested with flies & there r blood stains all over....Had dinner halfway...& met with a "sandstorm" ... so all of us hurried back to the hospital...Tim suffered from Food poisoning...constant vomiting & diarrhoea .. . Some of the peeps were like saying this is the 1st time dey felt so proud of shitting...(coz many of us couldnt shit for dnoe-how-many-days),some had to resort to eating carbon pills...Hannah was also admitted to the hospital..suspected of Typhoid..but it was not typhoid la...she was on a drip thou...
11 April
Feeling damm depressed 2dae...carried pails of cement the whole day...It was hell...some stuff were bothering me...i had the urge to call home...im behaving like a weird freak 2dae...Every1 was downstair,but im upstair staring in the air. Tears formed in my eyes but i held dem back. I had a small "hole" filled with cement on my last finger ... Realli wish to have my ice-kachang now...isolated myself 2dae...im juz weird la....
12 April
2dae had the usual routine of transferring pails of cement thru our human chain...but was quite lax ..stopped work ard 12+...didnt eat much as i felt sick of Chicken with rice...went to the Genocide musuem and killing fields...had my 1st massage that cost me USD6 ... had dinner @ FCC(foreign correspondent club) too...the 6 of us (Ed,Char,Van,Jeremy,Kailin & i) ordered pizzas,spag,pork chop,absolute voka,many different kinds of wines/spirit...tis is our first grand meal...indulging ourselves in good food after so many days of chicken with rice...lol...the bill came up to USD108 ....
15 April
woke up as usual @ 0545. Did my laundry & washed up. No 1 woke up ...thus i went back to zzzzz...2dae i almoz slept 1/2 the day awya....All of us from the top level did not go for breakfast...slacked till 1400 & went off to Phnom Penh (town area) ..had chicken & chips + tomato soup ... shared the tomato soup with Van...the soup tasted weird...it wasnt even watery @ all..more like a paste...we tried our best to eat wad we cud..dun waste food ma..we waited bout 1/2 hr for our food...2dae is Cambodia's New year...many eateries were not opened..so tis place we r eating in..had more customers...yep...along the streets...u can see many motorists having their talcum powder+bottles of h20 ready to splash on the other motorists...tt's the way dey celebrate new year bah...as we (me,kailin,char,ed,jeremy,van) strolled along the river side... many kids followed u closely & mumbled u to giv dem some $$ ... but we didnt giv ...coz once u give..more will come...
after the stroll..we went to FCC to have our desserts..i had mixed fruit punch,coffee ice-cream & chocoloate fudge cake + another-i-dnoe-wad-it-is...yup..we shared everyting 2gether...good food la..
16 April
the 2nd batch arrived & we went to have lunch with dem @ another restaurant ... Ed was acting really weird... with his eyes glaring around... i wondered wad's wrong with him...in the end..i found out that dey were all trying to play a prank on the 2nd group...Ed was behaving as if he was possessed all the way thruout..the 2nd batch peeps were all freaked out man! lol..it was v hilarious la...to read up more..u peeps can try reading some of peeps blogs to fill u in...hehe...we were all blending in too...but @ one side of a corner..we were all luffing away.... dey videocam the facial expression of the the 2nd batch peeps when ed was out with dem .... LOL...
17-19 April
took a bus to Siem Reap...the bus journey was v v bumpy...it took us ard 6-7 hours to reach ... weather was hot..bus was squeezy....was happy tt we reached anyway...checked into "Freedom Hotel" so glad tt we hav proper shower,air-con,BEDS,Tv (SCV) ... the h20 running there smelt like blood...muz b the rusty pipes...while bathing..thots were running thru my head... lol...but i brushed dem off la...for the 3 days..we were all having rest & recreation....visited Angkor Wat,1 of the 7 wonders of the world...yup...shopped...ate...
ahh...after so many days of delay..1 week...! i've lost the feeling to type le..nevertheless...im still missing Cambodia as each day passes by .... the song i listen to "that's when i love you" brought back memories...coz tt was the song i listened to all the time during my stay there .. . .i missed the simplicity of life there... even thou dey dun hav air-conditioner ...nice toilets..clean air/h20...good food... i felt happier there ... now dat i 've started working .. . i feel so stressed out...having to tink of how much to spend on my meals ...eating @ raffles place is realli killing for the pocket . .having to tink how to complete my work ....having to ponder over having to do OT anot....reached home ...1930 already..eat & bathe... 8pm...den slacked b4 goin to bed @ 10+...& u'll get up the next morning..for work....realli no life sia....
if there's a chance ... i wonder if the peeps from Cambodia trip wanna go back there again to re-visit the hospital during the holidaes? it will be fun .. .& also a time to relax ... i realli missed all of dem...working hand-in-hand with dem with the cement,chang koe,axe,spade...etc...eating chicken with rice every lunch meal ... having fried fish,kang kong,soup,bean sprouts & rice for dinner...buying canned drinks(drinks tt taste heavenly besides the gallons of water u drink everydae) back from the opposite streets ...wating for ur turn to bathe & u play cards wit the peeps...it was all so fun ...juz pure entertainment .... will these memories stay on .?..or will dey be gone for good as the days passed ... realli hope dey'll stay for as long as possible ... also to remind me of how fortunate im in S'pore.....hmmm....cant wait for the gathering next month with the group!!! hee =D

hello peeps...bout my trip to Cambodia..still haven draft finish...hehe..anyway..2dae is my 1st day @ work...woke up with a slight runny nose...didnt tink much bout it...went out @ 0755..& reached Raffles MRt @ 0845 . . .met up with Mandy...she brought me to level 40 to mit my reporting officer...
work ar...i considered it quite tough... im in the treasury dep ...i handle treasury bills & bonds.....colleague were patient enuff to guide me along..but im still v blur la.. every1 was busy .. actually i didnt do alot 2dae . .. learnt to differentiate wad's "repo" & "outright" the price to enter ..etc ... dey did teach me other stuffs,but my attention span was realli short..i was sneezing all the way... den felt realli sleepy... grrrr....
time passed v slowly in the morning .... after lunch was better ... ard 1830 i went home le..while my colleagee continued with their work...in the train...i thot of many food ...so hungry!!! i thot of having 1 small whipped potato from kfc + some edo sushi .. . .den i thot of whipped potato with campbell alphabet soup....whipped potato + korean mee .... whipped potato+ pudding milk tea with pearl...lol..in the end...i bought pudding milk tea with pearl+ LArge whipped potato...if u see some1 eating the large whipped potato as she walks..u noe who the person is lieo . . . damm hungry . . ..i muz eat breakfast every morning lieo..having to wait for lunch time is torturous..haha...
now dat im back home..i felt better . . . dun realli say i like working la... alrite..i go rest lieo..byebye!

cya peeps in awhile time ...
YoZ! 2dae went back to sch for the Cambodia meeting...heavy rain wor...tsk tsk ... hmm...dey gave us the Polo tee we were supposed to wear to the airport .... aiyyerr... i took -M-...which is V big i tink... zao zhi dao i take -S- hao le...anyway -XS- looks big to me too....im goin to wear baggy polo tee le...

Day1: Depart for Cambodia
Day2: Work begins
Day3-7: Work
Day8: Visit Killing Fields & Genocide Musuem
Day9-11: Complete work
Day12-13: Rest & Recreation
Day14: Travel bacl to Phnom Penh
Day15: Return back to S'pore
yup..2dae after the meeting ... went to mit Em @ Orchard to jalan jalan.. hur...reached dere about 1300 bah..den waited for her to arrive lor..i went popular to walk..haha..saw tis interesting book...& i bought it .... "How things works" woo.... wait till i come back den read bah... but quite technical la...yeah...wanted to get a skirt+blouse de...haha..but ...i didnt get any...coz some shops realli too "sense" le la... bo $$ ... haha...den too many ppl..i dun want go in..no ppl..i also dun want go in....Bleahz...yeah..we went to eat Ramenteh... hehe...nice...den Em hurt her leg abit la...kana poked by tiny rocks.. =/
yep yep... we went many shops lor...also went to my fav place "Kinokuniya" keke... spent quite some time inside ... went to project shop too ..den Em saw 1 flowery base 3/4 pants...hah...abit gulao feel... but she wears..not too bad la... juz tt abit big & baggy ...lol...
oh yeh...both of us bought some choco...from Meiji ...-Porte Choco- nice wor... inside got bitter choco...yummilicious..haha....2for $5.95 ma... heez...den she bought a pink polo tees from Fila ... woah..seldom see her in polo tees unless for ambassador event...hur...
lol..later on..Em said i muz get my clothes... arbo she came from so far..i didnt buy anyting...bleahz...my intention 2dae was to catch up with her ...rather den to get my clothes... catching up is the 1st priority =P
anyway...2dae was rather a nice trip for me...but...dnoe izzit nice for Em anot..haha...im a "Laoya" shopping kakis...hehe.. hmm...alrite haf to go... hav to call Charlene lieo..to double check for wad stuffs to bring there ... yup...
For those ppl having examinations...realli muz jiayou wor. ... v fast over de ... juz bear with it jiu guo qu le ... muz au xia qu ... wo wei ni men da qi....

dnoe tired wad leh ... lol
ello ppl...juz woke up lor... time:1006 .... hmm...last nite slept goin 0100 bah...hurhur...toking bout the day b4 which is 1st April ... i slept ard 0245 ...hurhur...chatted with Em on the fone from 11+ la ...after exam,nth to do le...v sianz..haha..besides,on tt day itself... many ppl de msn cant logged in...so no ppl for me to chat with...den mom wasnt @ home in the nite..she went over to uncle's place to stayover coz the next day she wanna go pray ? den v shiok lor...i brought another fone to the room & plugged it in...lay on the bed & chatted...haha...but as the nite goes deeper .. ur voice will turn into croaks...bleahz..chatted until 0230...Em said want to cook mee to eat ... hur..den not too long i went sleep le...
until 1000...woke up .... went online to slack... den Mui sms-ed me...den she told me Peng&Xue goin over her house to study ... lol.. in the end ... i went to Mui's place also ....ard 1500 ... but b4 dat,i went to mit Kl for lunch...wanted to eat in the coffeehouse de...but too crowded..in the end...we bought our lunch & went back her place to eat...after which i left for Mui's place....when we reached her place,we listened to Twins' new cd...den 1600 like tt,Peng arrived le ... den both of dem went to the living room to study..den me&Mui slacked ard lor..i tink we kindof distracted dem from their revision bah... =/ & dey r having their 1st paper on the 6thApril...hmm..we thot we heard the ice-cream man ringing the bell...so we went down hoping to buy some ice-cream ....but we didnt see any ice-cream man around... =( hmm....i tink we mixed up the bell sound with some other stuff le ... while on the way back...we saw Mui's bro...haha...he's trying to help his parents carry many bags home..den we went to help out ....
got home...& 4 of us ate @ 1 table ...chicken rice ...den her mum cooked us some soup ... got the mushroom balls...crabmeat...salted veg plus the (i-dnoe-the-name,but it got the mushroom cap,have a long stalk..lol,all in white) yaya..when the soup was placed on the table,the soup "evaporated" very fast..haha... all of us attacked the soup .... & we chatted bout the sunset over @ Mui's place ... wad color is it ...lol...so farnie la...Daoyan....haha...
after the meal,we went downstairs to sangbu... den walked to 7-11 ... bought some sweets lor..& Nescafe (Peng) .... went home... slacked slacked ...until 9+pm..i was so tired...dnoe tired wad la...haha..but i was feeling v exhausted...was telling Xue i wanna leave @ 10pm ...in the end neh ...dey suggested playing mahjong ... lol... i didnt want to play de ... dey said 2 games...den in the end we played 4-5 games .... lol...the 3 of dem won ...except me ... i forgot how to play le la... shud take the tiles b4 discarding ..i always do the opp way =x & im not v interested leh...mayb i was tired bah...coz the journey home requires @ least 30 mins ma....oh ya..Mui's 2 cousies also came... got 1 looked v v tanned..the moment she came..i whispered tt she looked like Ma-lai-ren..den she said "ah,she me mai lai ren,wo ting dao le" LOL...
we left the place ard 2245 .... reached home ard 2330 ... *tired* haha..dnoe how many "tired" i typed le... went to bathe...went online again ... till goin 0100 ... den i went to mit grandpa Zhou le....zzzz...tt's how my day passed ....yup...later on..goin Bugis with Bee to shop for our formal wear le...hur.. nid to settle quite abit of stuff 2dae...& hopefully...i;ll pack my bag 2dae bah...reali no time le... tmr having meeting..den goin out with Em .... reached home shud b late le ....as the days end ..im feeling abit excited bout my trip le..hehe...hao le...i've got to go..will blog again tmr or wad bah....
